We cordially invite you to the International CMFI Symposium, which will take place virtually this year because of or despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year´s program is structured around the main research areas of the CMFI consortium, and will feature talks by international experts. In addition and junior and senior scientists of the consortium will present the exciting developments of the research in Tübingen.
On these premises, we expect to learn more about the major principles that govern bacterial mutualistic or antagonistic interactions at molecular, cellular, and community levels, and the impact of environmental and host genetic factors on these interactions. By bringing molecular, medical, and environmental microbiologists together with computational biologists, clinicians, and chemists, the International CMFI Symposium aims at offering a forum for discussion on the worldwide progresses made in the field of microbiome research and the challenges ahead of us.
The development of microbiome-based prophylactics and therapeutics that can be used as alternative to antibiotics has become even more compelling in times of COVID-19 pandemic, which has exacerbated the spread of antimicrobial resistance. We hope that the symposium will stimulate collaborative research efforts to accelerate the attainment of what is the ultimate goal of the CMFI consortium.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our virtual meeting on the 8th of February, 2021.
